This is a privately owned site, and was created as a crude resource for intermodal drivers who are new to navigating the Port of New Orleans.

I put this site together in the hope that it will help other intermodal drivers for educational purposes.

If you work or have worked with me, you know that I care about safety. For most truck drivers, not having clarity on where you are going or what you are doing can add additional stress to an already stressful job, and sometimes can lead to accidents. My hope is that this resource can help just a few of my fellow drivers/co-workers minimize that stress/risk.

May this site shed a little proverbial light for those new to the port of New Orleans.

Ultimately you, the CDL holder are the captain of the proverbial ship, and safety starts and stops with your turn of the key. It is my opinion that the best drivers are the ones that do the job safely, are courteous to others, and respect the given workplace that they are in. Remember, port workers live and work there, their families live there, and it has been my experience that they are not impressed by speed racers who disrespect their house. It has been my experience that haste in this type of environment can lead to catastrophic results, and as such I prefer to error on the side of caution. It is my hope that you make it home to your family safe, have a pleasant profitable day, and that this crude resource will help you do so along the way. Thanks, Michael.
